ASCAP/BMI licensing can be really expensive but there are significant discounts for non-profits, AKA Higher Education in this case. If you work at a school the odds of you NOT having these licensing are very low as your school most likely plays licensed music during sporting events right? It’s probably going to take some tracking down, but you need to find out what exactly your license entails and what it provides for. Good Luck!

I’m glad they are finally including the Ken Burns effect in their newest version. When we started using them about 2 years ago it was consensus in the forums that everyone wanted to keep it simple, but I figured they would do it eventually or else the product would just become stale. This is a great post. I didn’t realize you guys were using brightcove. I recommended that our campus use them for some kind of campus-wide video solution, but we haven’t made a decision yet. The torrent link your provided for the music. Thats gold. Pure gold.
