Last week I spoke on a panel at the University Aviation Association annual conference. As part of this panel each presenter was asked to put together a short presentation on a subject. I focused mine on Understanding Marketing Funnels. Our regular readers have seen me write on this subject a lot because one of the biggest problems that higher ed web professionals face is they don’t have a formal marketing background. I’ll admit when I first started running the college website in my former job I had no formal marketing education either. We need to teach and share with everyone the core marketing concepts to make web marketing better across all institutions.
I’ll also tease readers that parts of this presentation are going to be included in my Inbound School Marketing presentation that I will be giving at HighEdWeb 2012 next week. Enjoy!
