New Authors: Exciting additions to make this blog even more awesome!

July 31st, 2008 by Kyle James

So .eduGuru has completed seven months of service and it’s been an incredible journey.  I’ve been tossing the idea around about guest authors for a while and thinking of new was to expand the blog and today I’m excited to announce this blog is taking a new direction, afterall three heads are better than one!  .eduGuru was an ambitious name for a new blog to take, but hopefully it’s lived up to the name and because there are Higher Web Gurus out there all over the place it’s time to expand our coverage to take that into account.  Also I won’t lie writing and trying to create three worthy posts a week is really hard work for one person.  So without wasting any more of your time by me rambling on about the obvious reasons why it makes sense to grow this blog into a multi author platform let me introduce you to the two new Gurus!

Michael Fienen

Michael Fienen is the Web Marketing Manager (no, he doesn’t know what that means either) at Pittsburg State University in Southeast Kansas, where they are currently undergoing a redesign and CMS implementation which is launching soon.  He isalready an experienced blogger over at SuperSatellite as well as previously serving as a hardware reviewer and writer for ThinkComputers.org.  His technical expertise will be a welcome addition and will provide excellent insight on getting the job done.

Meeting THE Fienen!

Karlyn Morissette

Karlyn Morissette is a Web Producer at Dartmouth College and another seasoned blogger.  Her personal blog is an emotional journey into a lot of the harder to tackle and challenging issues of marketing through the web and electronic communications.

Karlyn is a Devil for Detail

If you have been reading Higher Education blogs for any amount of time then I’m sure you have stumbled across these two all-stars!  Their passion about Higher Education web and expertise in the field is second to none!  Hopefully you are as excited of this new direction for .eduGuru as I am and I ask you to welcome these two members to the team.
