Student Workers in Higher Ed Web Offices Research Results

I hope that everyone is having or has had a great time at HighEdWebthis year! If you couldn’t make it, hopefully we’ll see you next year. For those who missed it or would like to refer back to it, I wanted to make the information related to my session on student workers in web offices available for you to review and use. Below, you can find the Prezi that I used, as well as links to the back channel and full survey results. This presentation is based off of survey results from the beginning of 2009, with comments from both schools and students.

I’m releasing the Prezi and research data under a Creative Commons license (attribution, non-commercial, share-alike), so feel free to build on this information and make it more valuable.

Great prezzi Feinen. Wish I could have been there to see it in person. I’ll be passing this info on to a few of our offices on campus. They could definitely benefit from utilizing all the potential students carry.

Thanks for sharing this with us! When talking to schools about their on-line presence, one of the biggest barriers to optimizing efforts is man-power. It’s helpful to learn how people are doing it smartly, especially because it’s equally beneficial to the student workers. Your data might help alleviate some of the stress and fear behind admissions offices, and even student affairs, getting involved with more social media and networking. Cheers to sharing and progress!
